Mac is a popular os system designed by Apple. but there is a small problem with Mac os x right click "Open With" context menu. Sometime it shows multiple duplicate apps to open any file. For example you want to open a jpg image file in Photoshop. so you will click right click on jpg file and move cursor on "Open With" then you will see compatible apps that can open jpg file from there you select jpg Photoshop. But in worst case we don’t see apps that we want to use and it only display multiple icons of same app that’s not compatible for the app. i have a simple solution for you to remove duplicate apps from "Open With" context menu.

Remove Same Apps From Mac X OS Right Click Menu

Type "Terminal" in Spotlight and Open Terminal application.

Copy the code i written below and paste in Terminal application and hit Enter.

/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user

After that Rebuilding process can take 1 to 2 minutes depend on your computer speed. After rebuilding process finish quite terminal prompt.
Now Relaunch finder.

If you follow these steps your problem will be vanish. Now you can use “Open With” feature for any file to check. You won’t see multiple duplicate apps again.
